It’s been a very good year—so far Our specially commissioned survey shows surprising growth in supermarket floral sales for 2012's first quarter.
Shortly after Valentine’s Day this year, we began hearing from supermarket florists around the U.S. about how great sales were for the holiday. And following Easter, similar claims surfaced.
Encouraged by these positive reports, we wanted to learn more about consumers’ floral spending during the entire first quarter of 2012, so we polled our readers in mid-April. The survey was completely anonymous and is, technically, unscientific, but the results are heartening and suggest that customers are finally loosening the death grip they’ve had on their purse strings.
