Terril Nell, Ph.D., AAF, cut-flower care expert and professor emeritus, Environmental Horticulture Department, University of Florida, has been appointed to the Specialty Crop Subcommittee of the USDA’s National Agricultural Research, Extension, Education and Economics Advisory Board (NAREEEAB).

The subcommittee’s tasks include studying the scope and effectiveness of the research, extension and economic programs affecting the specialty crop industry.

In addition, Dr. Nell was inducted into the Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association’s (FNGLA) Hall of Fame during the association’s 60th annual convention in Jacksonville, Fla., in June.
